Children In Flight-Justin Brandon Mahaffey Scholarship

        Deadline March 1

      Qualifications

              Resident of Bullitt County

                   GPA 3.0 or above

          Amount $1000

 

2010 William Tolbert Whittenberg Scholarship for Excellence

          DEADLINE- 11:59 PM Wednesday, March 31,2010

       Qualifications

              16-20 years of age

                   Complete the ONLINE APPLICATION

                   2 letters of recommendation

                   1 page essay

       Funds must be used for pursuing a career in the performing arts.

 

Denny Crum Scholarship

        Deadline- March 15, 2010

       Qualifications

              Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

                   Record of leadership and community service

                   Letter of recommendation and transcript

          Amount- $1,000 ($500 per semester)

       *scholarship is accessed online.

 

Sabert Scholarship

        Deadline- April 9, 2010

       Qualifications

              3.0 GPA

                   Community involvement

                   Financial need

Amount- annual value of up to $2,500 for tuition for up to 4      years while attending a 4 year college, university, or tech. school.

 

Norton Healthcare High School Scholarship

        Deadline- April 1, 2009 (ONLY 1 APPLICANT PER SCHOOL)

       Qualifications- 3.0 GPA

                         20 ACT

                         Must have applied to a program to prepare for a

                         Career in medicine.

                         Student must be recommended by the school

                         Selection committee

2010 Student-View Scholarship Program

        Deadline- April 22, 2010

       How to Apply- Apply online

                        Over $8,000 worth of scholarships 

                        No min. GPA, ACT/SAT

                        No essay

                        No application fee

 

ABAK Agricultural Scholarship Program

        Deadline- June 1, 2010

       Qualifications    

              Complete the Application form

                   3 required essays

                   2 letters of recommendation

                   Most recent official transcript

                   Be accepted as an undergrad in post secondary school and

                    Declared agriculture as their major or been accepted into

                   An AG study program.

          Amount- $500 per semester based on merit and financial need

 

Thomas B. Bright Jr. Memorial Scholarship

        Deadline- April 1, 2009

              250 word letter stating career goals

Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society

DEADLINE- March 15, 2010

 

1.       The applicant and/or parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the applicant are full-time resident(s) of Kentucky.

2.     The applicant has secured admission as a full-time student to a degree program at a recognized educational institution in the country.

3.     The applicant is currently a full time student in Kentucky, graduating in summer of 2010 for undergraduate applicant and current graduate student at UK in fall of 2010.

Senior Participation In Graduation Ceremonies

 

Any senior who successfully passes each class during the second semester of his or her senior year may participate in graduation ceremonies.

 

Any senior who fails one class during the second semester of his or her senior year must meet the following criteria in order to participate in graduation ceremonies:

  1. must have completed credit requirements
  2. is in line with attendance policy for his or her senior year (no more than 6 unexcused absences)
  3. has no more than one discipline  referral on file in the office for any offense excluding tardies for his/her senior year

 

Any senior who fails 2 or more classes during 2nd semester shall NOT participate in graduation ceremonies. Non-participation does not alter graduation requirements; anyone still meeting such may pick up his/her diploma after the ceremonies at the school during business hours on a date to be designated.
